We’re a little late posting our Book of the Month for June considering it’s already July 11! You can blame that on the poster (me, Whitney), not the writer (Ashley) because she actually emailed it to me on time!
Book of the Month – Missing, Presumed
Another novel set in England; y’all something serendipitous is going on here! Missing, Presumed is a mystery that is organized by people chapters. What do I mean by that? You will get sucked in because you want to know the story with one character and it will move to another character and update you on that subplot. It definitely keeps you on your toes!
Police are investigating the disappearance of a young well-to-do female in England. Detectives have searched and canvassed but can’t seem to grasp onto a solid lead. Edith’s door is left open, blood is on the floor, items are scattered in the living room, cash might be missing, and no note is present. Did she leave on her own free will or did is it foul play?
Another case is running parallel to Edith’s; a young boy has been found drowned. However, his body is too far decomposed to determine how he died. Could the two be related at all?
Throw in the royal family, a sweet foster boy, and a need for romance and you have the makings of a great summer read!
